The Stag Brooch

One-of-a-kind sculptural brooch. 
This piece, affectionately known in my studio as “Dear Elvis”, was created for Nakit z slovenskim kamnom (Jewellery with Slovenian stone). The exhibition was part of the MINFOS Festival in Tržic, Slovenia, in 2024. 
The brooch combines sterling silver, ebony and epidote from the Pohorje Mountains in an abstract interpretation of a stag. The sweeping antlers merge with the stone, allowing the animal and the landscape to become part of the same sculptural form.
